The CrossFit Chaparral Endurance Program is modeled after the Crossfit Endurance model as well as mixed modal energy system training.
What does this mean?
In this program the workouts will be either classified as “short interval,” “long interval” or “time trial/tempo.” All the traditional crossfit modalities will be used and there will be a cardio-endurance bias to the programming. We will focus on pacing and variable intensity work–learn what your 70% effort feels like and how to push your 100% max effort. Core strength development and mobility work will also be emphasized.
Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 a.m. box classes are an hour and a half, but this does not necessarily mean the workouts will be longer. Saturday mornings at 7:30 a.m. are typically hikes/trail runs/mountain bike rides at local trailheads. Whether you want to build your endurance for Crossfit or to compete in a 5K, marathon, adventure race, mud run or Ironman Triathlon, this program will benefit you.
